FAQ About Jesus
❓ Aren’t there many “Jesuses” people talk about?
Yes, there are. In some cultures (like South America), people are even named Jesús. In Islam, there’s also mention of a “Jesus” (Isa), but not the same as the Jesus of the Bible. That’s why it’s important to know what Scripture says. The Bible gives us a clear, unshakable picture of who Jesus truly is:
- The Word of God — John 1:1
- The Son of God — Romans 1:4
- The Author and Finisher of our faith — Hebrews 12:2
- The Savior of the world — 1 John 4:14
- The Mediator between God and man — 1 Timothy 2:5
- Lord and Christ — Acts 2:36
And Jesus Himself said:
“I am the bread of life… the light of the world… the good shepherd… the resurrection and the life… the way, the truth, and the life.”
(John 6, 8, 10, 11, 14)
❓ Why did Jesus come?
Jesus came to reveal God clearly—His nature, His character, and His heart. Without Jesus, we’re left with guesses and misunderstandings.
- Colossians 1:15–16 — Jesus is the image of the invisible God.
- John 1:18 — Jesus came to reveal God’s fullness.
- John 14:8–9 — “Anyone who has seen Me has seen the Father.”
- 1 Timothy 3:16 — God was revealed in the flesh through Jesus.
So when we say Jesus is the Son of God, we’re saying that God made Himself known to us in human form.
❓ What happens if I don’t believe in Him?
If you don’t believe God’s Word, you’ll end up believing something else—and that “something else” may lead you away from truth and life. Jesus came to set the record straight and to bring us back to the Father.
❓ How do I receive this new life?
“I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”
— John 14:6
Becoming a child of God means being born again—born of the Word and the Spirit (John 3). You don’t need to wait for a special place or ceremony. You can start right now.
Pray this out loud:
“Lord Jesus, thank You for coming in the flesh and showing me who the Father is. Thank You for dying for my sins and rising again so I can have life. I accept You today as my Lord and Savior. I confess that I am now a child of God. Holy Spirit, come and live in me. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
❓ What did Jesus make possible for me?
He came so you could experience:
- Forgiveness of sins — Ephesians 1:7
- The gift of righteousness — Romans 5:17
- The gift of eternal life — John 3:16; 1 John 5:11–13
Or as Jesus Himself said:
“God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son…” (John 3:16)
“I have come that they may have life, and have it abundantly.” (John 10:10)
This is not just survival—it’s an upgraded, God-filled life, full of meaning, peace, and eternal hope.
